Tanning Bed Lamp Maintenance

• Some important things to know when caring for your equipment’s tanning lamps:
• Most manufacturers have a Rated Lifetime for their tanning lamps.
• We recommend that lamps be changed at approximately 70% of their Manufacturer’s Rated Lifetime.
• For best tanning lamp performance, replace your starters with every other change of lamps.
• Always clean the reflectors behind the lamps during a lamp change.
• Old, spidery, or discolored acrylics can affect UV transmission up to 70%.
• Manufacturers recommend acrylics be changed every 1500 hours.
• Check your voltage. It can greatly affect the performance and life of your tanning lamps.
• Always keep a record of bed models, year, serial numbers, tanning lamp types.
